How To Use Your Will To Win At Life

Crowley said do as thou wilt.

Nietzche said will to power.

Christ said not my will but thine.

And all of them were right because the will can be used for anything.

For empty hedonism, for power, or to be sacrificed to God.

Christ used his will to create a spiritual kingdom of Godliness, peace and love.

Stalin used his will to create a worldly kingdom of godlessness, war and hatred.

Both chose and both reaped what they sowed.

You have the same choice, to apply your will to anything you want.

And your will, the human will, is the most powerful force on the planet.

Everything you use, from electricity, to cars, to computers is testament to that fact.

Testament to the will of Edison, Ford and Gates.

The only way to get the things you want in this life is by concentrating and applying your will.

This is the real secret to success.

Without will you don’t have a prayer.

It starts with the thought of wanting something.

That could be anything from wanting a pizza to wanting to build an empire that outlives you.

To manifest your will in the physical world requires taking action on that thought.

That could be as easy as picking up the phone and ordering a pizza.

Or as difficult as devoting the next 50 years of your life towards building a dynasty.

The proper way to apply your will is towards your wealth, health, relationships, lifestyle and spirit.

When you apply your will properly you become proud of your accomplishments.

When you apply your will improperly you become ashamed of your failures.

I can guarantee that with mathematical precision.

The key to success is concentrating your will and applying it correctly.

Because the truth is, there is no such thing as a Weak Willed person.

There are only people who apply their will constructively and people who apply their will destructively.

The addict is not a weak willed person.

The addict is just Addicted to the wrong thing.

The truth is everyone is addicted to something.

For some people their addictions are their work, their wives and their children.

For other people their addiction is black tar heroin.

Whatever you love in your life becomes what you’re addicted to.

The addict isn’t weak willed, he just chose to love something that doesn’t love him back.

The addict who destroys his career and his family for another drink is not weak willed.

He’s just he’s addicted to the wrong thing.

He’s addicted to something that’s destructive instead of constructive.

Had he chosen something constructive he could have built a legacy that outlived him.

He could have had his jersey hanging in the pantheon of greatness with Edison, Ford, and Gates.

But he chose to be addicted to the wrong thing, like millions of other men throughout history.

A good rule to remember is that the wrong thing is usually the easy choice.

And the hard choice is usually the thing that’s better for you.

I guarantee you have a hard choice to make right now that you’ve been putting off for months if not years.

Applying your will correctly means learning to get high off of the harder thing.

That means getting high off of achievement and the pride that comes with a job well done.

I’ve lived to get high off weed and I’ve lived to get high off of achievement.

And I can tell you with certainty that living to getting high off of getting things done is the way to go.

Getting high off your mission, your physique, your discipline, your work ethic and in helping others.

You will be happier living this way then by diverting your will into drugs, donuts and distractions.

You’ll become your strongest self, and your strongest self is your happiest self.

What they say is true, it’s a good life if you don’t weaken.

Life punishes weakness and rewards strength, this is a fact.

Your stronger self is your higher self.

The more you feed your higher self the more you love yourself.

The more you feed your lower self the more you hate yourself.

The end result of self hatred is depression and the final solution to depression is suicide…

It is that serious.

But you don’t have to be miserable when you have a will.

Because where there’s a will, there’s a way.

And the best time to start strengthening your will is today.

Because willpower is a muscle.

The same principles that apply to building muscle apply to building your will.

To strengthen your will you need goals, consistency and progressive resistance.

You need to goals to define where you want to go and what you want to accomplish.

You need consistency to take action on your goals every day.

And you need progressive resistance to keep challenging yourself.

When you have those three things you become a force to be reckoned with.

If you’ve been down for a while, make today the day you get up.

Because you’ve got a lot of lost time to make up for.

If you’ve just been maintaining, stop lying to yourself.

You’ve been losing ground and you know it.

There is no neutral in the game of life, gravity always brings a flat line down.

If you’re not going up, you’re going down.

And if you’re going up, stay up.

Because in this world you’re either getting stronger or you’re getting weaker.

And everything you do in one area affects everything you do in every other area.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking skipping a workout is just skipping a workout.

Skipping a scheduled workout, even just once, weakens your will.

When you fail yourself you feel guilty, and when you feel guilty you want something to make you feel better.

So you add a cheat meal to your skipped workout.

And you tell yourself the day is already shot so you might as well enjoy it.

And that you’ll just reset yourself tomorrow.

And then tomorrow comes and you’re feeling weaker and worse than you did the day before.

And you’re one step farther away from hitting your health goal for the year.

And if you don’t get it together you’re going to keep going down.

Every downward spiral you’ve ever been on started that exact same way.

One bad decision leading to another bad decision.

That’s the danger in breaking promises to yourself.

When you break promises to yourself you stop trusting yourself.

When you stop trusting yourself you start hating yourself because you’ve become a liar.

And everyone hates liars.

When you stop trusting yourself you lose faith in being able to achieve your goals.

And then you feel depressed and deflated, it’s truly a vicious cycle.

And it’s a cycle some people live their whole lives experiencing.

Where they sabotage themselves the second they start getting things together.

Or they get things together for a few years but let themselves fall off.

Because they stopped doing the things that got them there.

Life doesn’t take days off and neither should you.

You have to wake up willing to win every day or suffer the consequences.

Because everything counts.

There is no such thing as sitting on the sidelines in the game of life.

You can rest when you’re dead, but not now.

You have to wake up to win every day and get sh$# done.

Because no one wants to be unfulfilled or depressed or addicted…

That’s just where you end up after a series of bad choices.

After months or years or decades of applying your will in the wrong way.

After Consistently thinking the wrong thoughts.

After consistently taking the wrong actions.

After consistently taking the easy way.

After consistently applying your will to things that destroy you.

Instead you need to apply your will to things that restore you.

You need to become addicted to things that empower you.

You need to become obsessed with things that make you successful.

Because it’s be obsessed or be average…or even worse.

And you need to be obsessed with the right things.

Because the being obsessed with the right things will make you consistently happy.

And happiness is what the game of life is all about.

Life is a game where he with the most joy wins.

But the easy win doesn’t give you long term joy.

That donut might make you happy in the moment, but it makes you less happy in the long run.

The things that make you happier are the things that enhance your health, wealth, relationships, lifestyle and spirit.

Those are the things you need to be obsessed with.

Those are the things you need to concentrate on.

Those are the things you need to apply your will to getting.

Because you owe it to yourself to be happy.

When you cheat on your goals you cheat on yourself.

You need to wake up to win in this game.

Because there is no neutral in the game of life.

Every day you’re either moving closer to getting what you want or further away.

Make today the day where you get closer.

And do the same tomorrow.

Be in it to win it, it’s the only way to play.
