Celebrate The Blessings of Contentment

The robbed that smiles, steals something from the thief.
~ William Shakespeare ~

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.

I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
~ Philippians 4:11-13 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Welcome Lexa and co-hosts, L.G. Keltner @Writing Off The Edge and Tonja Drecker @Kidbits Blog, to another blessed Friday to celebrate the small things.

Hope all is well in your world. (wink) My extended time away was needed. All is well.

Nothing gets attention like experiencing little maladies, (stiff joints, hurt knee, one minute hot, next cold, tiredness or fill in the blank); as well as, distractions and the testing of faith, to recognize, as we get older, the mind and body needs proper rest.

The fast pace to keep pushing takes its toll. Stress unchecked accumulates. Less and less time to properly rest. Back in the day, I could get by with four hours of sleep. Not anymore.

Extended time away helped balance things and stuff by being content until……

This week, I celebrate understanding and knowing true contentment through my Lord and Saviour. Praise The Lord.

Contentment is a state of being because I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Contentment, with the good and not so good, knows how to let stuff go. It is, what it is.

Contentment knows those “it” moments are temporary.

Contentment can smile and walk away from angst and foolishness.

Contentment can adapt.

So I plan to write as I can while staying in a state of contentment. (smile)

How about you, what brings you contentment?

Blessings as we keep the faith to keep moving forward. Enjoy your weekend!
