The Fruit of Long-Suffering

Strength is born in the deep silence of long-suffering hearts; not amid joy.
~ Arthur Helps ~

Blessed is the man that trusted in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
~ Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~

Hello friends. (smile) Hope all is well in your world. I’m sharing my thoughts on the fruit of long-suffering. Thank God, there was a break through.

There are many things that bring about long-suffering.

Imagine living through unnecessary stress, dysfunctional relationships, toxic home or work environments, the object of bullies, manipulators and gossipers, health issues, the list can go on and on.

Bottom line, there are times, we can be too sensitive to slights or insults that are just opinions and a response is not required.

The fruit of long-suffering forces growth, builds character and teaches us something about ourself. Growth and maturity is a process that has no shortcuts.

It is quite painful to walk through long-suffering until we know who we are in Christ. Realize the situation is temporary. Understand we’re not victims but more than conquerors. Eventually the break-through comes.

Thank you Lord, for faith, to keep standing, in the meantime.

The upside to the fruit of long-suffering:

Storms come, we’re still standing.

Hope that keeps the faith, we’re still standing.

Inner strength to endure, we’re still standing.

Humility that comes naturally, we’re still standing.

Easy to let things go, we’re still standing.

Courage to walk through unhealthy environments, we’re still standing.

Contentment and f r e e from oppressive acts, we’re still standing.

Humor to see that it is, what it is, we’re still standing.

Healing in areas, where brokenness kept us stuck, we’re still standing.

Ability to walk away from dysfunctional relationships, we’re still standing.

The fruit of long-suffering results in experience and will produce more spiritual fruit, patience and inner strength.

The fruit of long-suffering experience helps to make better choices and gives abundant patience.

The fruit of long-suffering changes us from the inside out.

In time, we grow and become like a well watered tree deeply rooted, standing strong through anything or anyone’s shenanigans. (wink)

Praise The Lord for his mercy and his grace.

Abundant blessings, my friends, keep the faith and stay standing strong. (smile)

I would love to hear your thoughts on the fruit of long-suffering.
