Pretzels as big as your head!
Great new bar where the mediocre Neely’s BBQ used to be. It’s always a joy when my Beer swilling cohorts alert me to a new craft beer discovery right in my own hood on the Upper East Side of NYC. As they were already there and invited me to join them I was unaware that a new business had opened up in this space, and as I sauntered up the street after exiting the subway a few blocks away I saw the sign on the outside for Treadwell Park.
Whoa! Terrific beer list, cocktails, ambiance, food, Ping Pong tables, pinball machines, popcorn machine, and flat screens all around. Holy cow – a working fireplace too! I could not believe my eyes. Can I move in? I won’t take up much space. I’ll sleep on the floor under the ping pong table.
Very nice woodsy urban cabin decor. Plenty of seating along the bar, high tops with stools, and heavy picnic benches that seats couples or groups.
Varied menu with a little something on it for everyone. Brats, sandwiches, finger foods, salads, and some main course entrees. I found the prices fair for the area, and for the type of delish craft beers curated on their list, but may seem a bit pricey for some. Still, I’m happy to shell out a few more shekels to hang out in a chill place like this and enjoy my time here.

20 rotating draught craft beers and ciders, with a selection in bottles, cask beer, and hand crafted artisanal cocktails on hand so there is a lot to choose from. Hot damn! A few of us enjoyed a terrific Smoked Chipotle & Cherry Milk Porter, while I decided on a refreshing IPA and Pilsner. So much beer love!
The cigar bar (Merchants) is still downstairs on the level below so if you want a puff on a stogie after a few brews the option is close by. Bathroom is down on that level too.
Along with our brews we decided to do some noshing. Um, oh yeah – GET THE MONSTER SIZED HOT PRETZEL! Huge, soft, hot, sexy. You’re welcome. Thank me later. You will.
Loved the look and feel of this bar, as there is nothing else like it in the area. Fun vibe and friendly staff. C’mon – they have pinball and ping pong here! Wonderful new spot on the UES to get your brews and games on!
