A nouveau riche, are easily determined, These are people may have suffered poverty for a very long time and now that they have come to some money, they feel intoxicated.
Nouveau riche individuals feel as if everything they purchase is some sort of an achievement, as if they were the first to have had it. Annoying as it is, I unfortunately have the gross misfortune of living with one.
My unlicensed architect of a brother-in-law, is one of these so-called nouveau riche individuals. I don't really know him that well but from stories, I have heard from my sister he had it bad growing up. And now that he has landed himself a good-paying job his arrogance has gone soaring through the roof. I try to be as understanding as I can because he is not the first person I have ever encountered with this sort of behavior. However, lately his attitude has become increasingly disturbing.
Honestly, I don't know which will happen first, me losing my cool and having a falling out with him or someone eventually confronting him for his attitude. My family and I with the exemption of my sister (his wife), are embarrassed to be even seen with him at the mall. We walks like the world owes him a living and on the road he is no better.
I am afraid to say this but one of these days he'll end up getting shot at by some psycho he'll no doubt piss off on the road. My only prayer is that should that happen, I hope my family and I (my sister included) are not with him.
