We Watched La La Land today and it was a great Film. I really liked how they did the ending and it's defo worthy of all the nominations it's been getting.
I wasn't satisfied in just watching one film so I watched Kimi No Nawa and it was EVERYTHING! This is the most memorable film of 2017 so far. The mix of science and tradition, the familiarity of the settings, the stubbornness of youth, the realistic take of an impossibility. Unbelievable how imagination can just run wild and take souls with them! This is why I love films.
With some parts being set in Tokyo, it really made me miss the place and its subtle details that still takes me aback when I'm reminded of them. It was the warning tune of Yamanote line which played in the background of one scene that made me extremely nostalgic and thankful that those polytone ringtones have so much more meaning to me than to anybody else. Ah I have lived well!
