We went to Montpellier for the weekend, and had a great time! Monpellier is home to the oldest medical college in France. It's a university town, with more than 80,000 students living there -- about one-fourth the population are students.
The wine (which went quite well with the pizza, but would have been fabulous with a more gourmet meal) was BARON PHILIPPE de ROTHSCHILD - Mouton Cadet Rouge 2002
Here's a link to the Website, and what they have to say about this wine:

The wine has a deep and very dense colour, violet shading almost to black. The nose opens on toast and roasted coffee, then with airing reveals floral aromas of violet and lilac, moving on to blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry. Very harmonious on the palate, it strikes a perfect balance between well-structured tannins, succulent yet firm, and a rush of flavours in which vanilla, spice and a touch of pepper mingle with blackcurrant and fresh red fruit. The long finish, candid and generous, reveals a powerful, full-bodied and highly expressive Pauillac.
The wine has a beautiful robe, and the nose is very pleasant. I found the taste excellent with the flavors clear and refreshing, with no unpleasant aftertaste. This is a wine that I am adding to my personal colllection.
