Bow Shoulder Top (on major sale)// Gold Button Shorts (under $60)// Jack Rogers (20% off)

Wearing: I wore this to dinner at Tako with friends the other night. It was SO hot outside, so the simplest of outfits was necessary. I really loved this easy look and will be re-wearing it in the coming weeks! Also, my third-time at Tako and it has just re-confirmed that it truly is the best food in Pittsburgh. I cannot sing its praises enough! See past post featuring these shorts (including fit information!).

Eating: I went into Trader Joe's the other day and picked up some new-to-me things that I absolutely Love.  Their smoked salmon duet spread, Burrata Prosciutto Arugula Flatbread(omg this is the best thing ever),  Frozen devined tail-on shrimp. I live really close to Wholey's which is the mecca of fresh seafood in Pittsburgh. I was having people over for cocktails that night and didn't have time to make it to Wholey's so I settled for TJ's frozen cocktail shrimp. Wow were they good. They were decently large and had a really nice flavor. If you can't get them fresh, definitely try these, and the cocktail sauce is amazing, too!

Drinking: El Diablo from Tako. If you go to Tako, get this drink. It has a major flavor of fresh ginger. It's made with Sauza blanco, lime, ginger, soda, and cassis. So fresh and lively-- a perfect drink for the hot summertime days.

Reading: Just ordered a few books from the list on my sidebar! Did you hear that Curtis Sittenfeld's Book, Prep, was acquired by HBO for a series?! I'm really excited about this. I loved this book when I read it in high school and several times after. I really like Sittenfeld's books and can't wait for the show!

Listening: I'm going to the Billy Joel concert tomorrow night (!!!!) and I am so excited. He is one of my absolute favorites and I've always wanted to see him in concert! June's playlist got really full, so I started on July (this song made it to the playlist, it's SO good!). I Absolutely Love it when you guys send me snapchats of song recommendations. It's awesome and I really appreciate it! Feel free to keep them coming (I'm SummerWind41490)... I'm trying to get better and more active with Snapchat so bear with me!

Loving: My FabFitFun box came last week and I love it. It's so fun to get this box in the mail. It always has full-sized products and fun things like that adorable Trina Turk Tote and Wine-shaped popsicle molds (who knew?!). Use code SYDC for $10 off your order!

Recommending: I am pretty much a Lululemon girl when it comes to leggings (these being my favorite). I would have never thought to look to Spanx for leggings, however, I was sent a pair by their PR team and I am IN LOVE. Seriously, these leggings are incredible. I'll have to do a full blog post on them, because they're that good. They're high quality and the way they fit are just incredible. If you are looking to something comparable to Lululemon, dare I say even better, look no further!

Sale-ing: I am so excited about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and you can now preview the items included in the sale, here! I score some really great finds each year and I'll share those with you when the time comes (August 14 for early access and August 22nd for everyone else). Bergdorf's is having a major sale (up to 75% off) right now. Now is the time to shop for those designer items you've had your eyes on... I personally love these prada pumps, and these classic but interesting Manolo Blahniks, these rag and bone suede booties.

Pittsburgh-ing: My sister and I went to an event last week and since it was in Oakland, we took the opportunity to walk over to The O (The Original Hot Dog Shop). The O (or loving referred to as 'the dirty O), is an iconic Pittsburgh institution located on Forbes Avenue in the heart of Oakland on the University of Pittsburgh's campus. I've been a dozen or more times, but it really never gets old. It was opened in 1960 and I am pretty sure they have not changed a thing since it opened. It's slightly sketchy, but it's a must visit-- especially if you love a good hot dog! It's been ranked by the New York Times, voted Best Hot Dog by many food publications, and been featured on Travel shows and food shows alike. My favorite time to go to the O is late-night after an event... I cannot tell you the amount of times I've wandered into the O with friends all dressed up and ordered a hot dog and their mountain of fries (seriously a small order could feed a small country). That's just what my sister and I did last week when we went! It's quintessential Pittsburgh and if you haven't been, I couldn't recommend it more. Another really great late-night food spot? Beto's Pizza on Banksville Road. Truly one of my favorite 'pizzas' (if you can even call it that) in the world!
Two-Tone leather slingbacks for $125

Wanting: I don't often buy into a splurge vs. steal deal because usually, the splurge is much higher quality and the steal is a majorly cheap 'knockoff'. However, $1500 for one pair of shoes is just not something I'm into no matter how chic they are (and even if they are Chanel). I love that these shoes are high quality (real leather, padded footbed, etc.). I love the look of this classic slingback shoe and the $125 price point is much more wallet-friendly....sold! Not to mention, the Chanel version has the fabric toe and the 'steal' version has a suede toe, which in the end, has more longevity and will wear better.

Wanting II: Not much going on in the way of cute things this week. I haven't been browsing much, so that could be why!

Quoting: There is nothing wrong with loving the crap out of everything. Negative people find their walls. So never apologize for your enthusiasm. Never. Ever. Never.”-Ryan Adams
