Heidi and Shaun’s pretty English wedding with Ayshea Goldberg Photography

I love the lightness of Heidi and Shaun’s pretty Glemham Hall wedding. Their flowers are deliciously pretty daisies with peonies and roses – and they fill my heart with summer vibes! Glemham Hall is one of Suffolk’s most beautiful venues: a 16th century family home surrounded by 300 acres of countryside and with its own 170-capacity marquee which is perfect for elegant weddings. Our beautiful bride tells us a little more about the day:

Our suppliers were mostly local. Karen Lear Florist, Tonia Edwards Cakes, My big Fat Wedding disco, Blue daffodil events catering, Ayshea Goldberg Photography, Galley Slaves ice cream bikes. Our wedding stationery was provided by Andrew at Vintage Designs. Andrew provided a very personalised service and was extremely helpful.

I had a natural looking bouquet, with peonies, roses and other garden flowers from Karen Lear Flowers. The colours were pale pinks, whites and lilacs. Flower girls had gypsophila crowns and a small bouquet of mini daisies.

Our venue was beautiful as it was, the marquee ceiling had gorgeous chandeliers hanging and a fairy light canopy on the dance floor. The marquee sides also opened up during the day to the view of the lovely gardens at Glemham Hall. We did have some Large Love letters lit up to fill a gap in the marquee and also some warm willow trees lit up near the dance floor all provided by My Big Fat Wedding Disco.

We met Ayshea at a weddig fair in Glemham Hall and instantly knew she was the photographer for us.

Ayshea’s work is amazing! From the moment we met Ayshea up until the day she hand delivered our beautiful album Ayshea provided a first class professional service. Ayshea is just lovely, so easy to talk to and so helpful. From the moment we booked Ayshea we had lots of contact and Ayshea was just wonderful on our wedding day.

We met with Ayshea at her office and sat down to view our photos on a slide show which Ayshea had prepared. Our photos were amazing and Ayshea captured our day perfectly!

My maid of honour wore a gorgeous dress from dessy in Rose, her shoes were from carvela in a gold colour. My two little flower girls were in gorgeous dessy dresses which were in a matt satin in ivory with a rose sash around the middle tied into a bow at the back, finished with a tuille over skirt which we had tiny little gems added to to give them a little sparkle!

Hair and make-up – did you DIY or hire a professional?

My hair stylist from Toni and Guy styled my hair, my maid of honour the two flower girls and my mum. We also had Victoria Bradfield a wonderful make up artist to do our make up.

Crafts and makes – tell us about any homemade elements of your wedding… did you enjoy them?

I put the childrens bags together which I enjoyed but that was it. Everything else was left to the experts.

The wedding cake: what kind of cake did you choose and why?

We had a very simple, rustic looking cake which was a sponge, vanilla cream and strawberry. The topping was simply an ivory butter cream to give a rustic finish and it sat on a piece of wood which we had engraved with S & H

Entertainment: any musical recommendations, surprises or treats?

My big Fat wedding disco. My mum had arranged for a wedding confetti canon to go off during our first dance which was a lovely suprise.
