Today I am showcasing a couple of my favorite pieces from the NARS Spring 2016 Collection. One is the “Hammamet” Duo Eyeshadow and the other is “Instant Crash” Lip Gloss. As soon as I saw these two, I knew they would mesh well together in a makeup look. While the eyes are quite dramatic here, you can easily leave off the eyeliner and lashes to make it more daytime or office appropriate. The best part about both of these pieces are that they are versatile and work for both a natural look and a glamorous look.

Hammamet Duo Eyeshadow is really hitting all of the high notes for spring trends. You’ve got a matte beige that can easily be used to blend out other Eyeshadow Shades or all over the eyelid for a very natural look. The other shade is a shimmering bronzed rose. Rose shades are everywhere right now and it’s a shade that will work universally on every single skin tone. The duo makes it really easy to wake up, pick two complementary eyeshadow shades, and come out with a really great look.

Instant Crash Lip Gloss is a nude peachy beige with micro-fine shimmer in it. It’s really a wonderful formula and looks really pretty on the lips. The shimmer in it is very lady-like and sophisticated. It’s just enough to shine on the lips when the light hits them! I’ll be using this a lot for the spring and summer to add a nice sheen to my lips.

For this eye look, I used Hammamet Duo Eyeshadow in the simplest way possible. I took the shimmering bronze-rose shade and blended it into the crease of my eye and all along my lower lashes. I applied the matte beige shade onto my eyelid. I decided to go more dramatic with this look by adding eyeliner on my water-line and upper lash-line with a cat flick. You could easily leave the eyeliner off this look and just add mascara, leaving it perfect for a really natural look.

The Hammamet Duo Eyeshadow is incredibly pigmented and blended well. I love the hints of rose gold in the bronze. It makes the shades very flattering on any skin tone and eye color.

For the rest of this look, I used Instant Crash Lip Gloss on my lips and NARS “Orgasm” Blush on my cheeks.

Both products have a very grown-up dazzle to them. Nothing is overly dramatic about the shades or finishes, but they can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and your own preferences.
