Nestle NANKID finally brought Parentology+ to Cebu in the hopes of guiding parents who want to ensure a better future for their children given the drastically changing times.

On March 17 and 18, Nestle NANKID hosted an event at SM City Cebu as part of their Parentology+ program that aims to partner with parents in reshaping their children’s future considering how much times have changed compared to a decade ago.

The event featured bloggers and social media influencers who shared their parenting journey to other parents. Football player Anton del Rosario talked about introducing his son to sports and an active lifestyle, while blogger Stephani Zubiri-Crespi and Nestle Nutritionist Aleli Magtibay discussed about diet and nutrition. Entrepreneur Cat Arambulo-Antonio was slated to talk about boosting the children’s socialization skills and their confidence.

The Parentology+ event mimics the environment of a home and several rooms. It has three stations covering Food, Socialization and Physical Activity. The Food station is all about guiding parents and their kids on how to stay lean and comes with a cute photobooth. The Socialization station features a giant piano that kids, or even adults, can play with. The Physical Activity Station has a ball pit that lets your child be a child.

Participants went home with freebies and keepsakes. Two lucky participants took home Instax SQ10 cameras.

Taking into account the kids’ tendencies to stay glued to their gadgets or the TV, the popularity of fast food dishes, and the problem with pollution due to congested streets, parents have to grapple with a new set of issues. These include obesity, attention problems, socialization issues, and similar problems. On top of this, parents may feel out of control when they also have to take in family health history, among others, that will have a huge impact on their children’s future.

To help parents hurdle these problems in raising children these days, Nestle NANKID started Parentology+.

Before their Cebu stop, the event was already held in February in Trinoma Mall and SM City Clark and earlier in March in Abreeza Davao.
