When I started this Inspired By column, the goal was to show how you can use red carpet and celebrity street style as inspiration. While my outfits are always more affordable, the series isn’t a set celebrity look for less. Case in point? Today’s outfit was inspired by two fashionistas: Victoria Beckham and Camilla Belle.
I first saw Victoria Beckham rocking a white button-down shirt and Pleated Skirt (from her own collection) in New York last September. Then, while browsing The Budget Babe months later, I spotted her in nearly the identical outfit, with a different color skirt. Around the same time I saw Camilla Belle making her white button down playful with Loeffler Randal Pom Pom Sandals.
I decided to combine elements from all three looks to update my classic white button-down and pleated skirt from holiday season. The pom pom sandals (mine are only $27!) and my new white bucket bag (only $58!) were the perfect accents to update old pieces in my closet. See how accessories can totally make a look?
