NYFW Day 4: Celebrating the Feminine Spirit

I was super excited to partner with Mary Kay again for fashion week. The beauty brand did the makeup for Tracy Reese led by Mary Kay Global Beauty Ambassador Luis Casco. I’m always mesmerized by the looks Luis conceptualizes. “Together, Tracy Reese and I created a natural, yet heightened look that truly draws upon each woman’s individual beauty,” he said. And I took inspiration from the notion of celebrating the features you love about yourself by letting my eyes shine as I went about another busy fashion week day:

NYFW Day 4

{8am} Wake up to rain drops streaming down the window. Reschedule my breakfast meeting.
{9am} Go through Mary Kay’s Limited Edition Light, Reinvented Collection products. Do swatches to find my favorite colors. Fall in love with the Mary Kay Limited-Edition Eye Color Palette in Sunlight (launching 2/16).
{10am) Prep my face with Mary Kay Indulge Soothing Eye Gel to hide my puffiness and Satin Lips Set to scrub and soothe my chapped lips. Catch up on emails.
{12pm} My makeup artist arrives and we incorporate the new palette into my eyes. We decide on Always Apricot for a subtle pop of color on my lips.
{1pm} I look back out the window at Nomo Soho and the rain is coming down harder. I swap the silk blouse I planned to wear for a turtleneck.
{1:30pm} My photographer and I head out to shoot my outfit. Luckily she has a super cute umbrella for me to borrow.
{2:15pm} We arrive to the Tracy Reese presentation and are greeted by a poetry reading celebrating womanhood. The clothing is strong yet feminine. The Mary Kay makeup shines as bright as the oversize gold earrings.
{3:30pm} I join a few blogger friends for a glass of wine at Santina. My maxi skirt is completely soaked on the bottom.
{5pm} I arrive to the Jenny Packham show and marvel how my fave British designer effortlessly makes plaid look so feminine.
{6pm} Having some time to kill before dinner, I join some other bloggers at The Spotted Pig.
{7pm} I catch up with family friends at Buddakan. It finally stops raining.
{10:30pm} I hesitantly take off my still perfectly intact makeup with Mary Kay’s Oil Free Makeup Remover. I wish I could just wake up in the same beauty look tomorrow!

I hope you enjoyed this peek into my day! For more details on how to get the Mary Kay makeup look from fashion week I included a face chart below…
