Hotel Chocolat’s 2016 Easter Egg Collection is an assortment of milk, white and dark Chocolate Easter eggs from the luxury high street brand Hotel Chocolat.

Hotel Chocolat have a wide and varied range of Easter eggs and Easter chocolate, with twenty different eggs to choose from, the 2016 chocolate Easter egg selection combines the return of popular Hotel Chocolat eggs, reinvented Easter eggs and new innovations in chocolate.

The Ostrich Eggs

The largest Hotel Chocolat Easter eggs are the enormous Ostrich eggs, these eggs have two extra-large and thick chocolate shells with a selection of chocolates; the eggs are filled with a selection of luxury chocolates.

The Ostrich Egg is presented in ribbon tied hat box with swirls of gold. The very impressive Ostrich Easter egg is £75.00, and weighs just over a kilo in weight. And back for 2016 is the The Ostrich Egg Dark, a dark chocolate version of the Ostrich Egg.

Extra Thick Easter Eggs

Hotel Chocolat’s Extra Thick Eggs are fast becoming a must have for Easter, these luxury Easter eggs are very popular; large Easter eggs with two chunky extra thick shell halves filled with a selection of Easter chocolates inside matching the flavours and type of chocolate the egg is made from.

In total there are nine Hotel Chocolat Extra Thick Easter Eggs in different combinations of milk, white or dark chocolate:

The Rocky Road to Caramel is a milk chocolate extra thick egg with two different flavours; the Rocky Road half is 40% milk chocolate covered in crispy puffed rice, cookies and chocolate chunks and the caramel half is also 40% cocoa with a layer of caramel chocolate, accompanied by twelve caramel and milk chocolate Easter chocolates.

Inside the chunky Just Milk egg are twelve Egglets, flavoured mini eggs, in a selection of milk, white and dark chocolate filled with caramel, praline and fruity truffles. One half of the egg is made from 40% cocoa milk chocolate and the other in the even richer 50% cocoa milk chocolate. This was previously called The Eggsibitionist and The Egglet egg.

Chocolate chicks, Easter bunnies, smiley faces and chocolate fried eggs are packed into the fun You Crack Me Up egg, a milk and white chocolate egg – ideal for children or “big kids”.

White chocolate is showcased in the White & Light egg, thick white chocolate shells and twelve white chocolates; flavoured white chocolates, with everything from creamy vanilla, to tangy fruit and mellow praline.

One for the adults – Your Eggscellency is half dark chocolate and half supermilk chocolate with a selection of twelve alcohol infused chocolate truffles, including; Whisky, Champagne Cocktail, Margarita, Gin, Rum and Ruby Port – hick!

For dark chocolate fans there the is the Serious Dark Fix egg, both egg halves are made with Hotel Chocolat’s, award winning, 70% cocoa dark chocolate. Inside the extra thick dark chocolate egg are twelve dark chocolates with classic flavour combinations and boozy centres.

Hotel Chocolat Extra Thick Easter eggs are not only larger than other eggs but the shell is up to three times thicker, so more chocolate.

Each egg is £27.00 and is presented in ribbon tied hat box style box, the weights vary from 390g to 410g.

The Rabot 1745 Egg

The ninth is egg is a little different, made with cocoa from the Rabot Estate the Hotel Chocolat Rabot 1745 Extra Thick Easter Egg showcases dark chocolate in a variety of cocoa strengths.

One half of the egg is made with 72% cocoa dark chocolate from Madagascar and the other shell half is made with 78% Saint Lucia Island Growers milk chocolate and inside the chocolates tasting squares are made with even more cocoa variations.

A little more expensive, and a smidge less chocolate, than the other Extra Thick Easter eggs at £29.00, 370g, but the same thick shells. Made with rare cocoa from around the world.

Scrambled Easter Eggs

Hotel Chocolat’s Scrambled Eggs, four fun chocolate Easter eggs decorated with swirls of chocolate on the shell and presented in a box with a selection of chocolates, in a choice of milk, caramel, dark and white chocolate with six matching chocolates.

The milk chocolate Scrambled Easter egg is made from 40% cocoa milk chocolate with swirls of natural coloured chocolate decorating the shell of the egg and the six Scrambled Pralines, presented in a light turquoise blue box.

Also made with milk chocolate, but in Hotel Chocolat’s famous caramel chocolate, is the caramel chocolate Scrambled Easter egg, in a light burnt orange coloured box with six super-smooth praline chocolates.

Made from rich 70% cocoa dark chocolate with six matching chocolates the dark chocolate Scrambled Easter egg is displayed in a soft gold box.

And in a blue box is the white chocolate Scrambled Easter egg; six hazelnut praline chocolates and a white chocolate Easter egg, decorated with drizzles of chocolate.

Four delicious Easter eggs in four different flavours, each with six chocolates.

Each egg is 150g with 60g of chocolates, 210g, £15.00.

Goose Easter Eggs

Hotel Chocolat’s Goose eggs are decorated eggs and are available in two different flavours; milk chocolate and caramel chocolate, and like the Scrambled eggs each egg comes with chocolates, in this case mini chocolate eggs. Just like the Ostrich eggs, the goose eggs are the same size and shape as their namesake.

Both the milk chocolate Goose Easter egg and the caramel chocolate Goose Easter egg are boxed with a bag of mini chocolate eggs, Egglets, wrapped in gold foil. The milk chocolate Goose egg is made from 40% cocoa milk chocolate and the mini eggs are filled with molten caramel. The caramel Goose egg is accompanied by smooth caramel praline mini eggs.

Each Goose egg is £10.00 and 130g.

Easter Egg Sandwiches

Hotel Chocolat’s Easter Egg Sandwiches may be smaller than their other Easter eggs but they are packed with flavour and chocolate yumminess. Each egg is made of two Easter egg halves which been squished into two slabs of chocolate and sandwiched back-to-back and packaged in sandwich, style, boxes to create the colourful, fun and tasty Easter Eggs Sandwiches. The sandwich eggs come in four different flavours:

The milk chocolate Easter egg Sandwich is made with 40% cocoa milk and the Hotel Chocolat Caramel Chocolate Easter Egg Sandwich is also milk chocolate, but flavoured with Hotel Chocolat’s famous caramel.

The White Chocolate Easter Egg Sandwich is made from smooth and creamy white chocolate. The milk, caramel and white chocolate Egg Sandwiches are decorated with an eggs on the shell, made with natural colours.

Hotel Chocolat’s Dark Chocolate Easter Egg Sandwich is made from 70% dark cocoa chocolate and is the only egg Sandwich where the egg isn’t decorated with white chocolate to look like an egg, so it can be vegan.
