Easter is a time for family and having fun, I tend to write about chocolate Easter eggs for adults more than for children, so here are the best and most popular Easter eggs for kids, and all of these children’s eggs have a fun element.

All of these fun Easter eggs are available to buy online.

The reason these are the “fun” eggs for children is because I will also be doing a “practical” Easter eggs list for kids. This list is a combination of the eggs I have bought previous years, Easter eggs I will be buying, the most popular chocolate eggs and eggs that I just find charming!

1. James Chocolates Cow Easter Egg

The James Chocolates Cow Easter Egg is an absolutely adorable chocolate Easter egg, designed to look like a cow! The Barnyard big cow egg is handmade with milk, dark, white and coloured chocolate to give the cow a cute face with big eyes and he is even chewing on a daisy!

Also available is the James Chocolates Pig Easter Egg, the same ideal but as a pig.

2. Chococo Chocolate Dinosaur Easter Egg

Possibly the most searched for egg on this site, the Chococo Chocolate Dinosaur Easter Egg is a fabulous milk chocolate Easter egg with dinosaurs inside!

I have reviewed the dinosaur egg before, the design of the box and the shell may have changed a little, but it is basically the same – simple wonderful!

I have loved this egg and the idea of it for a few years now, the The Cocoabean Company Potting Chocolate Egg With Seeds is a fun Easter gift set, where the egg is just part of it.

The milk chocolate egg, with a big smiling face, sits in a plant pot with a, green frog, trowel and a packet of sunflower seeds – so after the egg is gone you can plant up the seeds and watch the sunflowers grow.

The Easter egg with many names… Mr Potato Head Chocolate Easter Egg, the Chef Marshall egg and Stas Chocolatier Easter Egg Head or the “Make your own Easter egg head”, whatever he is called he is always very popular and hard to find!

This year I have managed to track him down to ocado.

5. Shaun the Sheep Easter Egg

It’s Shaun the Sheep!! Made by Divine chocolate the Shaun the Sheep Easter Egg is cute and Fairtrade.

It is basically marketing for Shaun the Sheep Movie, but I don’t care that much as I am a big fan of Divine’s Fairtrade chocolate, Shaun the Sheep and Aardman Animations, so go nuts and support them all at once!

The egg is made from milk chocolate and with it you get a fun set of sheep ears, yep sheep ears!, a bit like the Lindt Fluffy Bunny Ears.
