Traditions: Oktoberfest

For 2021 Oktoberfest Starts on Saturday September 18 and ends Sunday October 3 (although the Official Party in Munich is Canceled due to Coronavirus)

The festival originated on October 12, 1810, in celebration of the marriage of the crown prince of Bavaria, who later became King Louis I, to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen

Munich is of course the largest as it is the ordinal and oldest oktoberfest

However there are several other large oktoberfest arround the world.

Cincinnati, Ohio

Leavenworth, Washington

Kitchener, Ontario

Brisbane, Australia

Santa Catarina, Brazil

Mexico City, Mexico
