Do you sometimes think that you should stand up for something thatyou think is right? Many people don’t because conformity is moreimportant to them. You should stand up for something that you feel is right even if this causes some difficulties in your life.

Firstly, you should not always agree what other people think.Forexample, in the book”The Wave” Laurie doesn’t agree with whatpeople said. They thought that “The Wave” harms people, and that’swhy they tried to do everything that they could to stop it.In the end, they were successful. Secondly, protect your individuality no matterwhat. To illustrate this with”The Wave”, Laurie and David protecttheir individuality no matter what. In fact they refused to join “The Wave”even though they had hard times because of their non–conformity.
In other words, you don’t have to do what other people do. Forinstance, in “The Wave” Laurie and David try to not to do what otherpeple do.They thought what other people did, didn’t matter to themexcept if it caused harm. They didn’t interfere with others until David got carried away by “The Wave” and only got his common sense backclose to the end of the story. This was also after he mistreated his owngirlfriend Laurie!
As it can be seen , it is important to stand up for what you think is right because if you don’t you would not protect your individuality. Tosum up, you should argue about what you think is right.
