Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi also known as ‘The Father of the Nation’ in India, was one of the prominent figures in the Indian Independence Movement.

Born on 2nd October 1869, MK Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonist nationalist, and political ethicist.

He was the leader of the non-violence movement against the British Rule in India. The movement gained heavy support from the native people, who became a part of it.

He protested for easing poverty, expanding women’s rights, building religious and ethnic harmony, abolishing untouchability, and wanting Swaraj or self-rule.
