After hearing Mary Ellen Kelly, CFO, pretty much call City Council-At-Large counsellor and/or taxpayers lied, we filed a FOIA request. As a taxpayer, she called me a liar.

A couple weeks later a document came in that proves Kelly lied in her recorded statement above. The document is dated below is dated the morning of the statement made.

But it gets worse. Not only did Mary Ellen Kelly lie and tell the city council that her office was not blaming city council for the issue, we learned that several weeks after the statement by Kelly, her office was still using the same script blaming city council for the tax bill issue.

The date on the email below is January 29th. The CFO and her team were essentially telling taxpayers questioning the tax bill issue that is was city council to blame, from the beginning of the month straight through to the end of the month.

The kicker… The issue was really caused by years of mismanagement of the city’s Water & Sewer Enterprise fund, by Mary Ellen Kelly and her team.
