Halsted Armed Robbery Arrests

BLUE TEXT should be considered unverified and non-newsworthy

At about 2:30 on June 3rd, a man was robbed while sitting in his car at 1640 Worcester Rd, Halstead Apartments/Jefferson Heights. He told police that one of the perpetrators had a gun and others had a knife. There were four suspects, all described as young Hispanics.

The suspects took off in several directions behind the apartments and on and along the Framingham Country Club. Three K9 units were brought in to assist with the search. Providing mutual aid to Framingham were Southborough, Westborough, and the State Police.

One suspect was located and arrested. Maynor Aguilar, of 400 Hollis St in Framingham was caught at 2:50 PM and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (knife). The gun was reported to us as recovered from a trash can or dumpster, although this remains unverified.

The search concluded at about 4pm. The other suspects were nowhere to be found and the dogs kept losing their scents.

Today we were notified of a major arrest on Winthrop St, taking place at 3:30-4:00am early Friday morning. Our witness states there were at least two SWAT style vehicles involved. One person was taken into custody.

We believe there have been three arrests in this case. The first was 19 year old Agulair. We also believe 21 year old Edgardo Pineda and/or 30 year Estuardo Torres-Herrera may have been arrested in connection with this Robbery.
