5 Health Signs You Should Never Ignore

If there’s one thing I’ve learned so far from 2020, it’s to not take my health and wellness for granted. This year has been tumultuous on so many levels, it’s important that we prioritize taking care of ourselves first so that way we can effectively help others. As someone who used to Ignore aches and pains, I’ve recently started listening to my body more and acknowledging when I’m sore or in Pain. That’s why I’ve come up with this list of six symptoms you should never ignore when it comes to your body:

1. Tooth Pain

Some of the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life has been tooth pain. Instead of dealing with it immediately, I would just gargle salt water and hope it’d get better. Doing that led to me needing a root canal because I waited entirely too long to get it examined. Save yourself the trouble and be sure to see a professional at somewhere like the Silman Smile Spa to get your teeth checked over at the first sign of pain.

2. Joint Pain

Now I know I’m not the only one who hit her 30’s and suddenly had tons of random aches and pains! It’s important to know the difference between a minor ache and something more serious. If you feel like you’re waking up in pain no matter what, or that being on your feet by the end of the day is genuinely unbearable, then there’s a good chance that that’s the sign of something more serious. Joint pain is something that can impact a lot of people as they get older but young people can suffer from it as well.

3. Fatigue

Feeling exhausted all the time? Trust me, I’ve been there. I’ve had insomnia for years and never took it seriously until I realized how badly it was affecting my day-to-day. When I finally decided to talk to my doctor about it, I had gained 14 pounds because I was constantly eating to try and have energy to make it through the day! Now I take medicine that helps me sleep longer throughout the night and it’s been such a game changer. Don’t play around when you feel exhausted!

4. Hearing loss

Hearing loss is one of those things that tends to sneak up on a lot of people. There are a lot of reasons for this. In fact, much of the Hearing Loss that people experience later in life is due to their behavior when they’re younger. Hearing loss is also something that often happens gradually which means that a lot of people find it surprisingly easy to ignore it as much as possible for as long as possible, even as it becomes more and more apparent that it’s an issue. Sure, hearing loss can be pretty scary but it’s something you should never ignore.

5/ Feeling Down

If you find yourself having more bad days than good days, it might be time to talk to someone about it. Taking care of your mental health should be a top priority. Talking to someone is always a good idea, whether that’s a friend, family member, or even a qualified counselor or therapist.
