I have spent my entire life playing by the rules; that’s not to say that I don’t have regrets. I’ve had some fun in my younger years, I’ve experimented with drugs etc. but by and large, I am a rule follower. I am, by most measures, the perfect constituent member of my country. I work hard, I have never claimed a bean of the government, I pay my taxes and I treat people with respect.
The older I get though, I start to question whether following the rules is the ‘right’ thing to do. I’ll likely talk about my beliefs in a blog post at some point so you’ll see that I think that this is our first and only go around the block. I don’t believe in reincarnation and I don’t think I’ve lived before.
The rich get richer, the hard working pay for the lazy and the cycle goes on. When I have children, is this the quality I want to pass on? Do I teach them to work hard, support the lazy and then die? Something just doesn’t seem right.
So I needed to have a way in which to get these thoughts out of y head. My stent; a way in which to relive the pressure before I go crazy. Enjoy. Comment. Come back.
