Some time ago, I read and wrote about Elaine Welteroth‘s great book, More Than Enough: Claiming Space for Who You Are (No Matter What They Say). I was so impressed and moved by her life story and lessons learned along the way, some of which reflected my own. So it’s fitting that she delivers today’s Words of Wisdom, especially in the phase of life that I’m in right now.
Many of you right now, like me, might be having moments where you feel inadequate to do what you’ve been called to do. Hopefully, Elaine’s thoughts on the subject give you some encouragement today and beyond!
We all have times where we think that we’re not smart enough, skilled enough, etc. to do or be something. In a conversation with model Ashley Graham below, Elaine rejects that narrative, giving viewers an uplifting word in the process. “We are more than enough even if we are a work in progress,” she shared. “We have everything that we need to do the work that we’re meant to do.”
I think it’s very important to remind ourselves of that regularly. It’s important to speak life in ourselves each day, even when things aren’t looking so great. It’s vital to remember that we are more than capable to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves. We are more than enough.
