There have only been three times in my life when I have felt the pit of despair in my stomach due to devastating events in the world. The first was 9/11, and unfortunately, the other two times have both been in 2016. This year has brought multiple killings of Black men and women at the hands of police officers and the surprise election of a hot-tempered businessman to the office of president. You know it must be a crazy year when it's been 15 years since you've had this sickening feeling, and for it to happen twice in one year!
Why 2016 Has Made Me Unapologetic
