WrittenFrom came about as the ignition following the sparks of the usual languid kind of back-and-forth you get before coming onto something good – the sensibility of a good idea is always there, lingering in the background of that muddled train of though, it’s explicit expression just requires some refining. I was seeking a way to express myself; to have my own little space on which to do so, whilst at the same time challenging my creativity. Ta-dah! We have the current format. Perhaps it’s easier to say, straight off the bat: this isn’t really intended to be a travel blog, though it does present a wonderful opportunity to emphasise the outbursts of my nomadism when they occur; so I can understand any befuddlement. What is it about? It’s about my etching into existence – beyond the ephemeral – the experiences through which I live and the thoughts with which I wander, whilst throwing in a little twist. What’s the twist? Well, too often I get stuck in my own little box, scribbling or typing away. So I’m pushing myself to go beyond my confines, and write in a myriad different places, surroundings, environments. That’s the twist – ‘Written From…’ If I manage to reach out and connect to anyone along the way, then great! I hope the words within prove as meaningful to you as they do me. Really, though, I’m just making it up as I go along (aren’t we all?). Enjoy!
