Dog’s loyalty is the strongest of all, and this story only proves it. In February this year, one older man was taken to Wuhan Taikang Hospital in Hubei, China, due to COVID-19 complications. Unfortunately, the man’s condition worsened and he passed away only five days later.

However, his 7-year old mongrel called Xiao Bao or “Little Treasure” didn’t give up. Namely, the dog was in the hospital lobby for days and months waiting for his owner to return. Three months later, the hospital staff started receiving complaints about his roaming the corridors.

That’s when they decided to give the dog to the Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association in hopes that the dog will find a new, loving family.

This cute little dog didn’t get tired of waiting in the hospital for his loving owner to return.

The dog and the store owner from the first floor got along pretty well, and he never missed a day to come and see her.

The store owner Wu Cuifen says she tried to send Xiao Bao away ever since his owner was admitted to the hospital due to complications from the coronavirus, reports NY Post.

But the woman quickly noticed how loyal the dog was, staying in the hospital for months without knowing his owner had passed away. It was really touching.

The woman and the dog hit it off so she brought him to the store. She is sure that if the dog could speak, he would say that he’s still waiting for his owner, and everyone can see that.

Xiao Bao has been taken care of by Wuhan Small Animal Protection Association and we can only hope that he will soon find another loving owner.
