An Incredibly Rare Orange ‘Full Hunter’s Moon’ Will Appear In The Night Sky This October 13th.

Astronomy lovers, during the night on Sunday, you can enjoy the light of a full Moon. This is not an ordinary full moon that we used to see. Full Hunter’s Moon is a rare phenomenon, characterized by its big size and orange color.

Many astrologers explain that the appearance of the fool moon can be responsible for many changed conditions and situations. For example, the astrologers claim that the Fool moon is blamed to be guilty of many car accidents, animal attacks, mood swings, change of the emotions, etc., during that day.

You can expect this, not that common event, right after the sunset on 13th October. Your eyes will be fulfilled with the beauty of the biggest moon in a tiger orange color.

The process of appearance of the Full Hunter’s Moon starts when the astronomical body rises, immediately after the sunset, and will appear to be bigger and more orange than it normally is. This is the result of the optical illusion, which is also called ‘Moon illusion’, which makes a trick to our eyes, so we see the Moon quite bigger and larger than it usually is.

To be precise, this moon will light up the sky at 22:07. One astronomer at the Royal Observatory Greenwich, named Tania de Sales Marques, claims that we will be able to see the Full Hunter’s Moon at exactly 18:35.

To see the unusual phenomenon, you need to place your face toward the south. This Full Hunter’s Moon is also known under the names ‘The Travel Moon’ and ‘The Dying Moon.’

The expression ‘Hunter’s Moon’ stands for the fact that in the past, this type of moon, signified the start of the hunting season.
Hunting season, during the period of early European and Native American tribes, was the beginning of the preparations for the long winter.

The reason why the Travel Moon is that big is the fact that it is very close to the horizon. In case you won’t be able to see this phenomenon on Sunday, there is no place for panic. You will have the chance to see the next ones, in November and December, known under the names ‘Frost Moon’ and ‘Cold Moon.’
