At times, life can be very confusing and out of order. Sometimes it feels like you are on a rollercoaster and it’s hard to keep up. You sometimes feel like a survivor or even a circus clown. And there were and are going to be situations with too many things going on; too many things you are responsible for and too many consequences to deal with. All that at once can be overwhelming and being happy seems impossible. At that time you will, of course, be judged no matter the Outcome.
With experience and time, you will realize that many things and results are far by the reach of your control. At the same time, it is important for you to understand that how you choose to react and deal with those outcomes is most definitely by your control, and yours only.
How much do you appreciate yourself and how much do you take care of your wellbeing? How much being happy matters to you?
Start by acknowledging all the criticism you heard since your childhood and take an honest look at yourself. Get in touch with all those situations that had an imprint on who you are today.
Accept the fact that nothing is perfect. Accept all of the imperfections which are the ones that make you—you. Only then, you’ll start being happy.
Humans have flaws, and it is up to us to celebrate or stifle them. You have the right to choose not to do what everyone is doing.
Just be aware that none of us is perfect and all of us mix our priorities at some point. Everything will be okay as long as you have the power to control your reaction and you will get back on track in no time.
All the experiences and all the things that at some point made you sad or happy will be with you forever. And you can’t change that. Accept it if being happy is your ultimate goal.
After all, can you think of a better teacher than pain? Or greater clarity than the one seen through suffering? There is not—as experienced by many.
So don’t let your pain influence the bad choices and the bad outcomes you might get in the future.
Just remember one thing about pain—it has to be felt, and you have to move on if you ever plan on being happy.
