Kaweco Pens - Take Note of These Exceptional Writing Instruments

In the April 2016 issue of Elle Decor, Parisian style icon, model, author and entrepreneur Inès de la Fressange lists some of her favourite things. Kaweco pens made the list because she "loves their shape." I too am smitten by their contours, but also their integrity, weight and how well they perform.

Here's a closer look:

-  Kaweco Student Pens

These pens took off because of a small retail store near the University of Heidelberg, Germany in 1883, but they continue to be best sellers. And it's no wonder. The twist ballpen made of injection-moulded, polished acrylic, has great heft to it, making it a seemingly luxurious purchase while still on a budget. Pieces of brass and chrome plating   Metal parts made of brass, chrome-plated keep the luxe feeling going. But it's how the pen functions that really makes it stand out.

Both the Rollerball and Fountain Pen flow seamlessly. My lettering becomes more relaxed (and so much easier to read), swooping swirls get bigger, and my hand is able to ease up for once, instead of having to clench and press to guide the pen across the paper with standard office supply pens.

The metal twist mechanism makes it easy to refill the soul-soft ink that glides along the page, no matter what the surface. And it never globs or stutters, making every stroke clean and smooth.

Kaweco Student Pens are available in yellow, Vintage Blue, white, black, blue-transparent and red, so you can customize them to your current decor. My vintage blue goes perfectly with my office decor of sea glass hues.

- Kaweco Skyline Sport Fountain Pen

Ooh, this pocket Fountain pen (pictured above in mint) is super light and short (10.5 cm, there's also an open version at 13.5 cm), making it a perfect fit for in your bag while you're on the go.

The chrome-plated Steel Nib (Available in sizes EF /F/M/B/BB) and iridium tip provides an even distribution of ink, so that you always get an even flow, making handwriting a complete joy.

My  pen (choose with or without clip) looks ultra modern (the beveled edges on the long cap are stunning) whether I am signing documents or merely making a list of to-dos.

-  Kaweco Liliput Fountain Pen

Even smaller than the sport, the Liliput pen is just 97mm long when closed. It's as long as my index finger. Should that feel a tad too short, it gets immediately lengthened when the cap attached. At this length, I find it ideal to maneuver.

Made of solid aluminium with steel nib (a matching ballpoint pen is available too, so I say stock up). Kaweco's rich ink flows freely, giving you unequivocal clean lines.

This pen is modern, streamlined  and ultra light. Forget about hand and wrist strain using this stylish beauty.  Available in black, silver and untreated brass, while I write away with my black pen, I'm going to load up on the brass and copper ballpoint selections, because it doesn't get much more boss than that.

Kaweco Ice Sport Push Pencil
And should you be a pencil lover , they've got a ton of varieties to choose from.

Normally I steer clear of pencils. I've never liked the look and feel, even in school. But the Kaweco Ice Sport Push Pencil's fun transparent frame that's extra wide (making it extremely comfortable to hold) and a sharpened lead that breezes across the page without smearing or dragging, has convinced me that pencils are indeed the bomb, as long as it's a Kaweco.

There are six colour combinations are available.

Founded in Germany in 1883, Kaweco has some of the smoothest pens I've ever used. They will transform the way you do things. They're the kind of pens that makes you want to write things down, to capture things on paper for once instead of automatically typing into your phone, that will have you handwriting thank you cards instead of shooting off a brief email.
So shop right now.

p.s. Even the Kaweco packaging has great attention to detail, with well designed cardboard gift boxes and is-it-vintage-or-new metal tins that you'll use to stash items in your desk drawer or purse.
