Man Who Named Pet Dog Buhari Still In Prison Unable To Raise N50,000 For Bail
Joe Fortemose Chinakwe who was arrested and charged to court for naming his Dog Buhari is still being remanded in prison three days after Ogun State Magistrate court has granted him bail.
Reports says that the the reason is still in prison is because his family is unable to meet with the conditions as regards his bail.
A family member who spoke with newsmen said ”We are unable to raise N20,000 to complete the money for his bail”.
Joe Fortemose Chinakwe is a poor trader who named his Pet Dog Buhari and was arrested and charged to court for naming his pet dog the name of his president.
B.J Ojikutu, the presiding Chief Magistrate granted Joe Fortemose Chinakwe bail in the the sum of N50,000 and the money but the fully paid.
Another family source said when they realized they could not raise the amount for his bail, they made passionate appeals to the authorities in charge to accept what they had to offer.
It was not quite clear if the appeal had been accepted because Joe is still in prison and the family members are yet to raise the full money for him to be released.
