Six Person Killed In An Auto Crash On Ibadan-Lagos Road

On Sunday at about 5.30 in the evening, an Auto Crash along the Ibadan-Lagos expressway claimed the lives of at least six persons.

The ghastly auto crash that claimed the lives of at least six persons also left 21 persons seriously injured, the accident involved two Mazda commercial buses an a Mercedes Benz Sport Utility Vehicle, the registration number of the three vehicles involved in the auto crash are AME 384 XA, EKY 59 XR and EKY 111 BL

An eyewitness who spoke with newsmen said that the three vehicles that were involved in the auto crash was on its way to Lagos from Ibadan before the accident.

Mr Seun Onijala, the Public Relations Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, (FRSC) Oyo State command confirmed that the accident indeed happened at the said time and that the cause of the accident was due to a dangerous overtaking made by the motorists which was so unnecessary.

Onijala warned road users to be careful how they use the road and avoid unnecessary overtakes the do in high speed, he said the accident could have been avoided if the road users were more care than the way they were.
