India To Start Receiving Its Third S-400 Air Defence Missile Squadron From Russia In January Or February Of Next Year

December 24 Russia will start sending India the third squadron of the S-400 Air Defence Missile system in January or February of next year, even though it is still at war with Ukraine.

“Teams from India, including people from the Air Force, were in Russia to get the equipment. The third squadron is supposed to get its supplies starting in January or February of next year.

Sources said that the only problem between the two countries is how to pay for the supplies because of international rules that make it hard to do business financially with Russia.

India’s first two squadrons of missile systems are already up and running. The first two squadrons have been sent to take care of the Ladakh sector, the sensitive Chicken’s Neck corridor in West Bengal, and the whole northeastern region.

With its different kinds of missiles, the system can shoot down enemy ballistic and cruise missiles, fighter planes, and unmanned aerial vehicles flying up to 400 kilometres away.

India has signed a deal with Russia worth more than Rs 35,000 crore to buy five squadrons of S-400 Air Defence missiles over the next three years. All of the units should be delivered by the end of the next financial year.

The Indian Air Force thinks that the S-400 will change the game. In the last few years, the Indian MR-SAM and Akash missile systems and the Israeli Spyder quick-reaction surface-to-air missile systems have greatly improved the Indian Air Force’s air defence capabilities.

Sources say that the S-400 missile systems have also taken part in exercises. Their opponents have been scared because they know that the Indian systems are more powerful than the Chinese ones.

Along the Line of Actual Control, both China and India have now set up their S-400 air defence systems.

Plans for putting the missiles in place were made so that they would cover the whole northern to eastern border with China. The Russians are sending the system to India by both air and sea, because they don’t want to take any chances with the way things are going in the world right now.

India and Russia are also working together closely to make AK-203 assault rifles in Amethi. Some of the equipment from Russia has already been sent to the production area.

India has gotten a lot of its weapons from Russia, and all three of its armed forces have relied heavily on military supplies.

In the last few years, India has bought weapons from Russia’s rival, the US, as well as from European countries like France. However, more than half of the Air Force and Army’s most important fighting systems still come from Russia.
