Johnny Depp sued after alleged assault on film set

Johnny Depp is being sued for Alleged Assault on the City of Lies set.

In court documents, Gregg “Rocky” Brooks from the production team claims that Johnny “punched hard twice on the lower left side of the rib cage.”

Gregg claims that he suffered “physical pain, emotional and psychological injury.” For now, the actor’s lawyer has not yet commented on the matter.

Still according to Gregg, Johnny’s conduct to the cast and production team “was intentional and malicious and was made with the purpose of causing the complainant to suffer humiliation.”

“Johnny’s intoxication and temperament created a hostile, abusive, and insecure work environment.” Ultimately, Gregg claims he was fired from production when he refused to sign a release waiving his right to sue the incident.

“My client wants to make sure that Mr. Depp is held accountable for his conduct on the set so that in the future others will not be placed in the same situation,” Gregg’s lawyer Arbella Azizian told.

City of Lies is an American biological crime thriller based on a book by Randall Sullivan. He explores investigations of the murders of rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G.

“Johnny Depp is a consummate professional, great collaborator and supporter of other artists,” the film’s director, Brad Furman, told US Weekly when rumors surfaced of a supposed fight.

“He always treats the crew and the people around him with the utmost respect. Filming can be stressful, and some events often become exaggerated, we all love stories – there is not one here,” he added.

City of Lies will be released in the United States on September 7, 2018.
