I wanted to share a limited time brokerage promotion available through November 10th.
Investors who open a new Account with broker Firstrade, and transfer Assets from an existing broker could be eligible for a cash bonus.
Firstrade is an SIPC insured broker, which offers unlimited free trades in stocks/ETFs and also offers $0 trades in options and no-load mutual funds. I recently read about this promotion, and opened an account myself. I was pleasantly surprised about their customer service and I found the brokerage platform to be fairly intuitive and easy to use.
I got to transfer existing assets, and receive another one-time stream of income on them. I found it easy to initiate the asset transfer of the FIrsttrade website.
Right now, they are offering up to a $4,000 ACAT transfer bonus depending on the size of transferred assets:
$50 with $5,000 in transferred assets or deposits
$100 with $10,000 in transferred assets or deposits

$700 with $100,000 in transferred assets or deposits
$1,500 with $500,000 in transferred assets or deposits
$3,000 with $1,000,000 in transferred assets or deposits
$4,000 with $1,500,000 in transferred assets or deposits
I personally believe that moving anywhere between $25,000 to a little over $100,000 is assets is probably the best bang for the buck. In my opinion any extra bonus on existing assets is a plus. Please be advised that some brokers would charge for a full or partial transfer of stock, though Firstrade would reimburse it.
