A total of 68 stocks registered a fresh 52-week high in trade today, while 9 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE. The BSE Mid-cap Index is trading up 0.52% at 15,661, whereas BSE Small-cap Index is trading up 0.93% at 16,179. Some buying activity is seen in Capital Goods, Metal, Pharma, Auto, while Information Technology and Telecom is showing weakness on BSE. Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, IOC, Vedanta and Tata Steel are among the gainers, whereas Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Bharti Infratel, Bosch and TCS are losing sheen on NSE in the first trading hour.
