Gold trading range for the day is 29052-29280. Gold prices gained as a further retreat in the dollar drove prices above $1,310 an ounce. A rally in gold prices to the highest level in a month and the year-end holiday mood dampened demand across Asia last week. Hedge funds and money managers raised their net long position in COMEX gold for the second straight week in the week to Dec. 26.
