Before I start the post - I must apologise for this lack of posting lately, since school will start next week, I need to prepare for it, read the books that the teacher assigned (I seriously don't feel like doing it. The books the teachers assign are so horrible, most of the time don't even make sense, have hard to understand situations and so on.) and basically everything else I had to do before the school year starts. Of course, as school starts, posting might be even harder to do but as I said before - I'll make sure I post at least one every 3 days. Now onto the post.

So yesterday I was on YouTube (as usual) checking out the amazing content uploaded by my faves and I happened to find this video in the recommended slots. The video is called: "PRANK CALLING MY EX GIRLFRIEND WITH "We Don't Talk Anymore" Lyrics by Charlie Puth".
I mean sure, why not, I've heard that song before, think it has some nice lyrics and I've seen some of the lyrics pranks and I think they were pretty cool when compared to the ones uploaded by the YouTube Pranksters, so I'll probably like this video, am I right? Well no. This vid is one of those videos where there is a kid that's probably like 8 years old holding a phone that probably weighs more than his head calling his ''Ex girlfriend". I mean dude, you're 8 and sound as if you were 6, how is that even possible - I haven't even had anyone and I'm practically 16. (Though that's understandable; 1. I'm asexual. 2. Who would even like me.) So yeah, this dude claims he's calling his ''ex gf'', though by that I think he means that girl in class who borrowed a pen once or asked to copy his homework. So yeah.
And of course, this video wouldn't be complete without a thumbnail. Basically took a screenshot of the video where he had this ''c u 2nite beib" look while holding a phone and it wouldn't be a cancerous video if there wasn't an emoji and a red arrow pointing to the phone in case you don't get it from the title that he's calling that girl who told him to drink bleach once. (I still can't get over the fact that he claims that he's calling his Ex gf, like the only Ex I have is a Pokemon Rayquaza EX card.) Also what's with these 8 year old looking kids and tank tops and that haircut (bird nests), is this like some step to becoming an internet f*ckboy? Some of the rest being - have no skin problems, look 8 years old, have a cringey Musical.ly and make Musical.lys on it?
Also, this video was uploaded as a second video I guess due to the fact the first one blew up, so woooooo viewssssss.

After watching that video I checked out this dude's channel.
"Just a kid who loves youtube...." with a faceless him as the profile picture. Nice.
Wait.... (the fact he put 4 dots after the bio frustrates me, I don't know a single person who puts more than 3 and probably won't trust anyone who does that if I meet them) WHaT. 301,733 subscribers?
How is that even possible? Did he seriously get 10K+ subs over night? (I remember checking that vid yesterday and he had like 288,-something- subscribers. Also in the comments someone was asking how he got 100K subs in 5 days. That's an incredibly fast pace for a channel, is this kid seriously going to be the next PewDiePie...?

So I checked the channel and pretty much figured out why so many subscribers in such little time.
The dude is clickbaity af. Try to go trough 1 straight line of the videos without looking at the rest of the videos below, go on, do it, and don't hide the videos with your hand or something. You done trying? Yeah... impossible. So I took the time (like 40 seconds) to highlight the cancerous/clickbaity parts of the thumbnails.
Cyan/Hot pink - Clickbait (Cyan - thumbnail, Hot pink - title)
Green - Cancerous (Emojis)
Yellow - That's no dog. That's literally (not really) a rat. Nothing against rats though, I like rats.
So all in all 19 highlighted clickaity/cancerous parts and so many more without them.

Now the reason this kid blew up on YouTube was probably because of these:

Doesn't make any sense, does it? So yeah, before - his videos would get like 140 views or so (he uploaded vlogs of how he does his hair or shit like that) but after Jacob got famous, he used that as an opportunity to get views off of him so he uploaded these videos and has been milking it ever since. (Now I know that this might be a load of bullshit but it's really likely)

Sorry for all these posts with negative vibes, I'll probably make like 3 posts spreading positive posts later on if nothing comes up. (You see, the thing is - it's much harder to make these negative posts since you have to put in valid points and do research on the people before doing posts on them so there wouldn't be any problems later. But that's really why I post them so much, I really like digging deep to find as much info as possible)
