Apple today at WWDC 2023 unveiled the first 15-Inch Macbook Air model. The M2 chipset from Apple is what powers the new 15-inch MacBook Air. As the name suggests it features a 15.3-inch screen which has a brightness of 500 nits. It also comes with a 1080p camera for video calls and six spatial audio speakers.

Apple MacBook Air features

The MacBook Air is the company’s thinnest 15-inch laptop and is available in four distinct colours of midnight, starlight, space gray, and silver. It is only 11.5mm thick, weighs just 3.3 pounds and is almost 40% slimmer than a comparable PC laptop.

It has a 15.3-inch Liquid Retina display which offers up to 500 nits of brightness and support for 1 billion colours. In addition, it has a 25% brighter screen and doubles the resolution of a comparable PC laptop. It comes with MagSafe charging, two Thunderbolt ports for connecting accessories and up to a 6K external display, along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The new 15-inch MacBook Air is powered by the company’s M2 chip In addition to this there is a 10-core GPU, an 8-core Neural Engine, and a 8-core CPU with four performance cores and four efficiency cores are all included in the 15-inch MacBook Air that can perform up to 12 times quicker than the fastest MacBook powered by Intel. Even with a bigger display and better performance, it offers an exceptional battery life of up to 18 hours, which is 50% longer than on a PC. Moreover, M2 supports up to 24GB of rapid unified memory and has a memory bandwidth of 100GB/s, making multitasking and handling complicated workloads.

The all-new MacBook Air also includes a 1080p FaceTime HD camera for FaceTime chats and video calling. It has a three-mic array, ensuring that users may be heard clearly during video chats. Moreover, there is a new six-speaker sound system with two sets of force-cancelling woofers and tweeters. According to Apple, when watching movies or listening to music, the new speakers’ doubled bass depth and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos compatibility create an immersive environment.

Apple MacBook Air price in India and availability

The cost of the latest MacBook Air in India is set at Rs 1,34,900. It will come in Midnight, Silver, Space Gray, and Starlight colour options. The 15-inch MacBook Air is now available to order today on apple.com/in/store. It will begin arriving to customers, and in Apple Store locations and Apple Authorized Resellers, beginning Tuesday, June 13.
