Still i am not secure after using previous tips! How many safety tips i need to carry the online transaction?
Oh Just wait and stop thinking too much! Our previous methods are best practices which would definitely give you peace of mind if you follow them. But many of you must be willing to learn more definitely about other tricks. After all extra knowledge never harms anyone. Knowledge only benefits us.
So for those readers we are going to list some more tips with which you can pay using online gateway without worrying about anything.
Hey friends we advice you not to save your card details at all in any payment gateway. Sometimes most of you save to do instant payment next time. If you are using a trusted payment gateway, for example Paytm, it would ask for your CVV number before you make the payment. It is 3 digit card verification value present on the credit or debit card you use. If you are using American Express Credit or Debit card, it will have 4 digits. You would find a white signature strip on the back of your debit card or credit card. CVV number is found at the right side of that strip. We advise you to not give it to anyone. If you frequently use it or take your card outside, we advise you to memorize this number and erase it from the card by scratching. This precaution prevents use of your card in uncategorized manner.
Delete History Of Your Browser:
Hey friends this is an excellent step for prevention of card detail theft especially if you are using a public Computer. Though we advise you not to use public computer for payment methods using your credit or debit card. But if you have made this mistake, it is probably best to delete the browser history in which you have done your transaction. You can do this by finding CLEAR RECENT HISTORY located on top of your browser. You should then select EVERYTHING to clear. Check all the boxes which show the details of your history. Then click CLEAR NOW. You can also use the short cut key CTLR+SHIFT+DELETE for clearing history.
Use Virtual Keyboard For Filling Card Details
Again this method would protect you from malware programmes which may be installed on PC. The malware program is designed to capture your details which you input through hardware keyboard. Use of virtual keyboard avoids this problem because most of malware program are not able to track virtual keyboard details. We advise you to use it on your Personal Computer as well as on Public Computer. After that delete browser history by method told above.
Avoid Doing Payment On Public Computer
Friends this is a good security practice. Public computers cannot be trusted. After all these are not controlled by you. Who knows what type of software are installed on them? May be someone with malicious intent has installed Malware. This malware may then capture all your logins and card details and send it to that person. So try to avoid it at all costs. Instead do payment from your own personal computer. Also if you have mobile, you can download the payment app and use it. This is more secure than relying on an untrusted public computer. Download app from trusted sites such as GOOGLE PLAY.
Do Not Use Open Wifi
Open Wifi leaves you vulnerable to hackers because they do not have same protection level as trusted wifi. So do not use it for payment either on your mobile or on your computer.
