No BJP leader took Aaditya’s name in Sushant case:

Fadnavis Former Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday said that no Bjp Leader “directly or indirectly” took state minister Aaditya Thackeray’s name in connection with Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. He wondered why all these revelations did not come to light before the CBI took over the probe, and whether Maharashtra police was under any political pressure during the probe.

India extends international flights suspension till 30 September:

International flights to and from India will remain suspended till 30 September, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) said, extending the suspension that was to end on Monday.

However, international all-cargo operations and flights specifically allowed to operate by the aviation regulator, such as repatriation flights, charter flights, and flights under the Vande Bharat Mission, will continue to operate, a DGCA circular said. International scheduled flights may be allowed on select routes by the competent authority on case-to-case basis, the circular said.

India’s 1st female cardiologist dies of Covid-19 at 103:

S. Padmavati, India’s first female cardiologist, has passed away due to Covid-19 at the age of 103 after battling the disease for 11 days. According to another statement by the National Heart Institute, also issued on Sunday, she was admitted with Covid-19 and had breathing difficulty and fever. She developed pneumonia in both lungs and needed ventilator support. However, she sustained a cardiac arrest and passed away. The noted cardiologist, also a recipient of the Padma Vibhushan, had set up the National Heart Institute of the All India Heart Foundation and had served as its Director and President.

Born in Myanmar on June 20, 1917, Padmavati earned an M.B.B.S degree from the medical College Rangoon. She had to leave the country due to the Second World War and settle in India.

LOCKDOWN VIOLATION CASE BOOKED AGAINST BIBI KA ALAM PROCESSION:

Six cases were registered by the Hyderabad City Police for violations of lockdown guidelines during the Bibi ka Alam procession on Sunday afternoon. The cases were registered in the Mirchowk, Chaderghat, Rein Bazaar, Dabeerpura and Charminar police stations following complaints made by police officers who were on bandobast duty and noticed the violations. The police have invoked the Disaster Management Act 1950, The Epidemic Diseases Act 1897 and Government orders issued for Covid-19 pandemic control against the persons who had violated the orders.

A few thousand people had marched along with the Bibi ka Alam on Sunday when it was brought out from the Bibi ka Alawa as a centuries-old practice. The Alam (standard) was carried in a DCM vehicle through Dabeerpura, Yakutpura Road, Alijah Kotla, Charminar, Gulzar Houz, Mandi Mir Alam, Darulshifa before culminating at Chaderghat.
