Google’s continuing Project Starline, which adds a three-dimensional feature to online video communication, is aimed at improving the Virtual conference experience.
Because of travel restrictions and forced office closures caused by the coronavirus epidemic, virtual calls and meetings have become a routine part of daily life. While video Chats are becoming more common, Google claims that the two-dimensional experience of hearing and seeing someone on your screen, especially with a lower-resolution camera, does not quite equal to a real-life interaction.
Google has been working on Project Starline to bridge the gap between virtual communication utilizing common technology and the reality of seeing someone face-to-face.
