A company is on the brink of solving one of life’s most annoying problems — by inventing indestructible Tights.
Most women have experienced the moment when a pair of tights snags and is ruined forever. For many women, a pair of tights rarely lasts past the first wear.
But Sheerly Genius, which has launched a Kickstarter campaign to get its product going, says it has created a “rip-proof, snag-proof, life-proof” version made from the same fibres used in bulletproof vests. According to their website, the tights are made from “ballistic grade fibres” and are “up to 10 times stronger than steel”. The new tights have reportedly been tested to hold up through at least 50 wears. Designed using a “complex system of knitting techniques” the indestructible fibres will ensure no runs — while maintaining a soft to the touch feel. But that’s marketing claim.
