Sharma will set foot in Rajasthan on December 15.
Starting from JCP Atari, Sharma will be covering 24 states and 7 UTs, while spreading the word in 1,000 cities and villages. He will cover a total distance of 15,663 km in 150 days. He has already run a distance of 1,100 km in merely 10 days.
Sharma will enter Rajasthan from Ajmer, then go to Jodhpur and will reach Jaisalmer on December 23. He will go to Barmer before heading to Gujarat.
Inspired by IPS officer Krishna Prakash, Sharma has been running 100 km a day. Up at 4am, Sharma after a warm up starts running at 6am for 60 km, halting at 2pm for lunch. He, then, resumes his journey of another 25-30 km at 5pm and runs till 8 pm.
He has participated in many marathons. On December 13, Sharma will enter Delhi to a rousing welcome by BSF.
His objective is to inspire people to help those who have laid down their lives for protecting the country by connecting them to the government of India website bharatkeveer.gov.in.
Coordinator of the website, BSF DIG Jaisalmer Sector North Amit Lodha, said, that on April 9 the website was launched for giving economic assistance to the families of paramilitary forces – jawans and officers, who became martyrs while protecting the country.
The website was launched on the suggestion of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar. Till now around 6.51 lakh people have deposited around Rs 30 crore in the accounts of the family members of the martyrs.
