The Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) leader also trained his guns at Patidar leaders who had left his side to join the BJP, claiming that they would “never get the people’s support.”
“I want to see dalit and Patidar youth getting government jobs. I want to see these people being defeated as they caused harm to farmers,” he said at a mega rally in Mansa aimed at showcasing the community’s support for him.
Patel predicted that the BJP “will not get more than 60 seats.”
In what could be seen as support to the Congress and Rahul Gandhi, he questioned why the saffron party levelled allegations of “doing politics” against Rahul when he visited Gujarat, even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the state “continuously for the last six months.”
