No one dared to intervene and prevented the two youths when they attacked the deceased youth with knives and repeatedly stabbed him to death while people moving on roadsides and in shops kept staring and some of them even fled away from the scene by shutting down their establishments. Police have booked and detained three youths in this connection while the dead body was handed over to the Family Members after post-mortem on Wednesday’s morning.
A 19-year-old youth identified as Sandeep Kapoor, a resident of Shivpura area was late last evening stabbed to death by motorbike born two youths on the main road in front of Bijasan Mata Mandir, told Ram Kishan, circle in-charge (CI), Dadabari police station area. A minor brawl erupted between the accused and the deceased following a display of motorbike stunt by two of the three accused on the road last evening resulted into the merciless crime of murder, he said. The motorbike borne two accused came last evening while the deceased youth was standing on the road and allegedly attacked him with knife and fled away from the spot after he collapsed on the road, he said. He was immediately rushed to nearby hospital but the doctors declared him dead, the CI added.
On the report by the family members of the deceased youth, three youths identified as Shubham Tiwar, Akash and Banti, all around 20 to 21years old and residents of the same Shivpura area have been booked under sections 302 and 34 of IPC and further investigation into the matter is underway. The family members alleged in the report that Banti, who is associated with music D.J. work instigated the two youths after brawl had erupted between the bike born two youths and deceased following which Shubham and Akash stabbed him to death, the CI said.
The three accused youths have been detained and interrogation with them is underway, he added. The accused youths have not been shown as arrested so far as the investigation and interrogation into the matter is still underway, CI Ram Kishan said.
The body was handed over to the family members after post-mortem, the CI further said.
