The women jawans said they missed their homes during festivals but it was immensly satisfactory for them that people across the country were able to celebrate as they were guarding the borders. On Diwali, thousands of kms away from family members, these jawans do not have any tension on their face and these women are Celebrating Diwali with their BSF jawan brothers. Bsf headquarters has have made special arrangements to celebrate Diwali so that jawans do not feel alone and BSF officers too are celebrating Diwali with them. We saw at the border these jawans lit diyas at fencing, decorated with candles and fireworks and gave message that daughters of BSF can deal with them. Their alert eyes are at the borders so that no enemy can enter the border. In this unit, the jawans are from uttar Pradesh, bihar, AP, WB that is from the entire country.
BSF lady constable Kusum from Bareli said that they on Diwali, she remembers her family, but duty is first. She told countrymen to celebrate Diwali without any tension, as they are guarding the borders. Similarly, Rubi from from eta (UP), said they are celebrating Diwali along with bsf brothers like a family. In front of duty, they are not allowing their memories of home to hamper their duty. She told countrymen happy Diwali and are guarding the country with high morale and on Diwali, we are not here to lit fireworks, but ready to fire rifles.
