The song? ‘Na Na Karte Pyar Tumhi Se Kar Baithe’ from the 1965 film ‘Jab Jab Phool Khile’.
The two sentences: “Na na Karte Pyar tumhi se kar baithe, karna tha inkar, magar ikrar, tumhi se kar baithe”.
In the song, the actors talk of how despite asserting they would never fall in love with each other and despite going blue in face denying they felt anything for each other, they ultimately did get together.

How does that relate to Nitish and Bihar?
Well, until Nitish resigned Wednesday evening, the JD (U), and even Nitish on occasion, went blue in the face denying they wanted to go back to the BJP-led NDA. (Recall, the JD (U) was with the NDA for many years and even until as early as July 2013.)
Even after taking a line different from their ‘grand alliance’ partners, by supporting demonetisation and the NDA’s candidate for President, JD (U) members kept insisting the coalition was intact.
Just in March, when asked if the JD (U) was going back to the NDA, one party leader was quoted as saying: “These reports are baseless and there is no truth in this rumour. This is obviously being spread by our adversaries for political reasons.”
Not any longer.
Nitish resigned as Bihar chief minister Wednesday evening, thus breaking the ‘grand alliance’. What’s more, he will again be Bihar CM on Thursday, this time with support from the BJP-led NDA.
Do the song lyrics Akhilesh cited add up now?
