Pilot pointed to chief minister Vasundhara Raje, her son Dushyant Singh and her sister Yashodhara Raje Scindia. “BJP leadership that accuses Congress of dynasty Politics should know that BJP is the biggest example of dynasty politics in Rajasthan. The chief minister’s son is a BJP MP here and her sister is a minister in BJP government in Madhya Pradesh. And all of them inherited politics from Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia,” Pilot said. He added that there were similar examples of BJP’s dynasty politics all the country.
A day earlier, Shah while addressing a gathering of intellectuals in Jaipur claimed that the biggest achievement of BJP was to give a new direction to the country’s politics. Shah stated that BJP has put an end to the “three vices of Indian politics”, namely dynastic, casteist and communal politics.
Pilot said the BJP national president was trying to cover up failures of the state BJP government with his misleading statements. “Caste conflicts have actually risen in the state due to government’s administrative inefficiency and lack of dialogue with the people. During the BJP government’s present tenure as well as previous tenure, there were conditions of caste conflicts on several occasions. There was a clash between police and protesters recently also,” Pilot said, referring to violence over gangster Anandpal’s encounter as well as over farmers’ protests.
The Congress leader countered Shah’s claims about checking corruption too. “State’s biggest mining scam of Rs 45,000-cr happened under the present BJP government. Anti-corruption bureau exposed corruptions in PHED and local bodies departments,” said Pilot.
Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot also countered Shah’s claims. “Bank robbery and heist in a finance company in Jaipur’s crowded areas show the state of law and order under this government. After rising number of rapes, sexual assault and murders, Jaipur is emerging as capital city free for thieves and robbers under BJP rule,” Gehlot said.
