Bajaj Auto has registered a marginal fall of 0.09% in total sales to 329,800 units in April 2017 against 330,109 units in April 2016. However, the company’s total exports out of the above stood at 151,913 units, rise of 46% as compared to 103,976 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
The sales of the motorcycles increased by 1% and stood at 293,932 units in the month under review against 291,898 units in April 2016. However, the company has reported 6% fall in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 35,868 units as compared to 38,211 units in month of April 2016.
Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
