Udaipur youth quits bank job to join Indian army

Udaipur : Udaipur based engineering post graduate Manan Tiwari is all set to Join as a commissioned officer in the Indian Army. Manan recently completed the 49-week long officer training at Officers Training Academy in Chennai and following the training he will soon join the Indian Army as a Lieutenant.

“He will join on March 30. It was his childhood dream to join the armed forces, he demonstrated extraordinary skills in skeet shooting and .22 firing events as an NCC cadet” his mother Gayatri Tiwari said who is a scientist at the Maharana Pratap University for Agriculture and Technology. After completing his post graduation from the College of Technology and Agriculture Engineering, Udaipur,  the youth cleared the examination for bank services and secured a managerial position in one of the banks at Himachal Pradesh. “ Even while he served in the bank, he wasn’t happy as Manan always wanted to serve the country. He attempted the coveted Services Selection Board examinations and cracked it in the second chance” says his father Dr Manoj Tiwari, a physiotherapist at the RNT medical college here.
